When I look back at 2014 I am proud! There were the ever growing Skylimit trackdays and drift events. I also enjoyed my events as spotter a lot in the USA and in Europe. As usual i saw many races as spectator, coach or organizer and made a few trips without motorsport. Here is my top 20 of beautiful moments in 2014. A year I will not easy forget.

20: The 24 Hours of Le Mans. Year after year a race to look forward to.

This year I made the trip to France with some friends of my Skylimit crew. We made history again

19: sport auto High Performance Days. The drift challenge had a high level again and there was a huge crowd again.

18: Bart Van Haeren Champion! One of the driver i coached for the past 3 years drove for Belgium Racing in A Porsche 991 Cup in the BRCC Cup class.

Many of the races were very exiting. But Bart and his teammates Peter Hoevenaars, Yannick Hoogaers en Christoff Corten were always one of the fastest around.

Their win at the final race made them finish on the top step of the championship!

17: Kuno Wittmer champion. The fast Canadian got himself the Tudor United Sportscar title in the GT Le Mans class. During the first 2 races of the season I was spotting for him. The #93 Viper became team champion.

16: Baltic coast in Poland with Iga and Janek. Normally a non-motorsport trip would not make my yearly top 20. But this trip with some Polish friends to the north of Poland was really nice.

We visited Gsansk, Gdynia and even Hel.

15: Rallylegend Walter Rörhl visited us during our Nürburgring Nordschleife trackday. When he stopped with his Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid he was soon surrounded by many people.

14: Another remarcable visitor was Bil Baldwin. The famour Californian track marshal was with us during 1 week.

He also met Tom Boonen during one of our Francorchamps trackdays.

He ended his European trip with the Nürburgring Drift Cup.

13: BGDC Spa Francorchamps. Olivier Hermans and Davy Convents asked me to help them a little bit out during this race. After a few minutes a Code 60 neutralized the race for a moment. Then I decides to go for a risky strategy. While the other teams were thinking we would have to make an extra stop at the end of the race, we proved we were right. This strategy brought us 3rd place while our fastes laptime was only good for P5. Thanks to this podium finish and a great win during the 24 Hours of Zolder (with Vincent Convents and Chris Van Woensel) the Yokohama Power BMW ended third overall in the BMW Clubsport Trophy Championship

12: Key West & Miami with Lisa Linke. A few days at the southernmost point of the USA was fun and relaxing.

The famous sunset at Key West was very impressive again.

11: NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Brands Hatch. My first race in the European NASCAR as spotter for PK Carsport.

Maxime Dumarey and Anthony Kumpen both finished on the podium and were ahead in the championship.

10: Rolex 24 at Daytona. I was spotter for the #93 SRT Viper with Jonathan Bomarito, Kuno Wittmer and Rob Bell. After a promising start we dropped back a little before halfway the race.

While the other car of the team with Marc Goossens, Dominik Farnbacher and Ryan Hunter-Reay took third place, our car with battle scars only finished 7th. I spotted for them during 18 hours.

9: Race Promotion Night Circuit Zolder. This race meant the debut of Robin Put. Son of our friend Pascal who died just before the 24 Hours of Zolder.

Besides Robin Put, also Jo Lammens, Bart Van Haeren and Marc Goossens drove the BMW.

8: ROAR before the 24 at Daytona Beach. This is the testing weekend for the Rolex 24. I made my debut as a spotter. I had the chance to learn it during all stints Marc Goossens was driving. I want to thank Marc for the opportunity and trust.

Together with Marc Goossens and Maxime Martin at the ROAR before the 24.

7: Skylimit Trackdays Circuit-Zolder. We organized 6 trackdays at the most beautiful Formula 1 track in the world.

Because we limit the available spots it is never too busy on track and everybody can enjoy this racetrack.

Also in 2015 we will drive through Eau Rouge at least at 6 days

6: Nürburgring Drift Cup 2014. Our first full season of the Nürburgring Driftcup was a real succes.

The battles were sometimes very close.

The crowd could enjoy some high standard motorsport

Remmo Niezen became champion!

5: Skylimit Summer Special at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. It was our first double trackday in Germany.

Our customers really enjoyed the legendary racetrack of more than 20 KM

The track is situated in the Eifel mountains. There is a 300 meter height difference between the lowest point of the track and the highest.

We have 3 Nürburgring Nordschleife trackdays on our 2015 schedule. Be there!

4: Skylimit Super Sundays. We organized 3 events open for public at Circuit Zolder. The result was many enthousiast drivers and spectators.

One of the highlights was the presentation of the participants of the 24 Hours of Zolder.

Also the participation of Belgian Race legend Yvette Fontaine was liked by many people.

The Ford Club Belgium was always at the track with many cars.

The Ladies on track sessions started with only 9 ladies but at the end of the year they were with almost 20. There will be Girl Power too in 2015!

3: Sebring 12 Hours. Also in Sebring I was spotter for the #93 SRT Viper

This race I watched from the pitstand with the live timing & scoring and the many screens as help. It were 12 hours of full concentration.

Here talking to Jonathan Bomarito who would drive a fenomenal final stint in the race.

This race is finished in the dark what means we get a beautiful sunset in the middle of Florida.

We ended the race in second place. A great result that would be fundamental in winning the championship at the end of the year. Here I celebrate with Jonathan Bomarito and Rob Bell while Kuno Wittmer was still doing some interviews. I am grateful for the oppotunity I got via Bill Riley and Marc Goossens to be part of the works SRT Dodge Viper Team and Riley Technologies.

2: NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Final at Le Mans.

From high on the Race Control tower the spotters could watch their drivers.

After 4 very exiting races we grabbed the title in Elite 1 & 2 and the team championship!

It was an honor to be part of PK Carsport.

I look forward to what comes next in this NASCAR story!

1: 24 Hours of Zolder 2014! The revival of this legendary race was amazing and I worked hard for it.

The first highlight for me was the trackwalk on Wednesday. I told the participants all my knowledge of this race because I hoped as many as possible would be able to finish the race.

The crowd was huge at Circuit Zolder. The memory to the '90s became vivid again.

During the race I was able to give the drivers of the Skylimit Yokohama Race Team some advice. They finished p10 and 11 overall and first and second in class after a nice race.

I was happy to work with the staff of Circuit Zolder and want to thanks everyone of the racetrack.

I want to thank everybody who help me make this year so unforgettable : My Fantastic Skylimit crew, Jo Lammens, Skylimit sponsors and partners, the drivers I worked with, SRT Viper, PK Carsport, Circuit Zolder, Circuit Spa-Francorchamps, Nürburgring, fotografen, media, First Motorsport, QSR, all my friends and motorsportfans who respect me. I also want to thank everybody who helped us go through the sad period after our friend Pascal Put died and who help us succeed in fullfilling Pascals dream : Robn Put in the 24 Hours of Zolder 2015.
Merry Christmas, Happy Newyear and see You at one of the racetracks in 2015!
